Trump’s US military armada in Middle Eastworking with Israel, targeting military targets and missile sites that pose an “imminent threat,” a senior US official told Fox News National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin.

The US military is not targeting Iran’s leadership, but Israel is, the official said.

Strikes hit the home of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 86, in the city of Tehran on Saturday morning.

And Trump released a video statement on social media, urging the Iranians to get out of the way for now, but “when we’re done, take your government; it will be yours to take.”

“God bless @POTUS for planning and executing now Operation Epic Fury, making America safer and ultimately more successful,” Graham added. “I seek God’s protection for all under President Trump’s command, as well as our allies in Israel.

LINDSEY GRAHAM IS CALLING US TO USE ‘ANY MEANS NECESSARY’ TO STOP PEOPLE FROM KILLING IRANIAN PEOPLE.

“My mind is racing with the thought that he is a murderer ayatollah regime in Iran soon there will be no more.

Although reports of the explosion occurred a few hours earlier, Graham posted his first endorsement of the actions just after 3 a.m. ET, calling “the action necessary and for a long time.”

“The biggest change in the Middle East in a thousand years is upon us,” Graham added in his second column on X. “The chances of normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel back on track are very high – a topic I discussed last week with key players in the region who agreed that if the ayatollah steps down, historic peace will improve.”

As the attack continued and battle damage assessments were still to come, Graham offered his prayers to the forces conducting the operation.

“Regarding the men and women who participated in this work for our country and Israel, may God bless you and keep you safe,” he wrote. “If you are injured or fall, I believe with all my heart that your dedication makes your country and the world a better and safer place. This is why you chose to serve.

This works well organized. It will be violent, widespread and I believe, at the end of the day, successful. And the demise of the ayatollah regime with American blood on its hands is necessary and more than justifiable. “

Also, one of Trump’s longtime Republican critics, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., also posted on X, noting that Trump didn’t want to. congressional approval – although there was a meeting held with the Gang of Eight earlier this week.

“War actions not authorized by Congress,” Massie wrote in X.

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker, R-Miss., recommended “decisive action” against “the world’s top terrorist official.”

“This is an important and necessary mission to protect the American people and American interests,” Wicker wrote in a statement. “The president has clearly stated the goals of this plan: to forever thwart the ayatollahs’ desire to build a nuclear weapon, to degrade their missile forces and their manufacturing capabilities, and to destroy their military and terrorist capabilities.

“These are the most difficult decisions facing any American commander-in-chief, and I appreciate that President Trump and his team have developed a comprehensive strategy using all the tools of national power and a well-organized military planning process.”

The time to strike was now, according to Wicker.

“The Iranian regime has never been weak,” he added. “Without the use of military force against them, the ayatollahs of Iran will continue to increase their power to threaten the American people and our interests, working in collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party, the Russian dictator Putin, North Korea, and other terrorists.

“The ayatollahs have pledged the economic future of ordinary Iranians to participate in their worrisome and apocalyptic vision.

Most importantly, I commend the brave men and women of our armed forces, who continue to demonstrate a level of operational excellence unmatched around the world. That fact will be seen in the coming days. Thanks to them, Americans are safer – not just today, but for generations to come. “
