President Donald Trump ripped into “Real Time” host Bill Maher on Truth Social Saturday, saying it was “a complete waste of time” to host the late-night event at the White House last April.
In a lengthy post, the president targeted Maher for his recent comments mocking Trump for suggesting that China would end all hockey in Canada as the two countries deepen their economic ties.
“Sometimes in life you waste time!” Trump started work. “TV host Bill Maher was asked to have dinner with me by one of his friends, also a friend of mine, and I agreed. He walked into the famous Oval Office a lot different than I thought he would be. He was very nervous, he had ZERO confidence and, to calm his nerves, immediately, in seconds, he asked for a ‘Vodka Tonic.’ He said to me, ‘I’ve never felt like this, I’m actually scared.’ Somehow, it was somehow lovely!

The president went on to say that the two “had a great dinner,” and that Maher “seemed to be a nice guy and, with his first show after our dinner, was very respectful of our meeting.”
“But with everything I’ve done to bring our Country back from “OBLIVION,” why wouldn’t he be? he added. “But then I noticed his show started going into the same old story – It’s so boring, ANTI TRUMP, nothing to say about the Perfect Row, Lowest Crime in 125 Years, Removal of Masses of Stone Cold Criminals, 50,000 DOW, 7,000 S&P (Both No. Highest Overnight, Venezuela, Lowest Night Count!), Hammer,” Soleimani is DEAD, al-Baghdadi is DEAD, Inflation in YEARS (1.2% in the last three months!), Rebuilding our Military, Eight Stop Wars, and on and on!”
Trump continued: “Either way, it was a complete waste of time for me to have this scumbag in the White House and last night, after explaining how DISASTER Canada’s ‘Leaders’ are going to deal with, how Canada has ‘jacked’ the United States for years on TRADE (But not anymore!), I jokingly REALLY said, ‘The first thing Canada’s playing Hockey and Canada is going to do away with is the Hoce Stanley Cup.’ Well, he kept talking about Hockey’s statement, like ‘What kind of person would say such a stupid thing,’ as if I was right. Fortunately, his Television Ratings are so low that no one will read his various Fake News statements about me. “
He pointed out that Maher is “no different than Kimmel, Fallon, or Colbert,” but added that he “has to admit” the “Real Time” host is “less talented” than the others.

According to the president, Maher asked him “if he could return to the White House again, with his friend,” after their first meeting last year. Trump also said that Maher asked to be invited to the White House Christmas party, but ended up not attending.
“Regardless, I would much rather spend my time DOING AMERICA AGAIN than spending it on him. Bill continues to suffer from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS!), and nothing will ever be done to cure him of this terrible disease. Fox News Digital reached out to Maher’s representatives for comment, but they did not immediately respond.
Last April, Trump-ally and rock singer Kid Rock organized a sit-down dinner between him, the president, Maher and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO Dana White.

After his visit to the White House, Maher described the meeting with Trump as friendly and even praised the president.

“You can hate me for it, but I’m not a liar. Trump was kind and moderate,” Maher said. “And why not in other settings- I don’t know, and I can’t answer, and it’s not my place to answer. I’m just telling you what I saw, and I wasn’t on top.”
