Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro will be incarcerated in the same prison where Diddy and Ghislaine Maxwell, along with other high-profile defendants, were all held pending trial.
A source told Fox News that Maduro will be held at the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Brooklyn, after the Venezuelan leader was captured in a house-like “fortress” during an early morning operation by the US military in the South American country. Maduro has been charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism, cocaine, possession of firearms and weapons of mass destruction and conspiracy to possess firearms and materials to destroy the US state.
The MDC in Brooklyn also held other prominent prisoners such as Ghislaine Maxwell, Sam Bankman Fried and Michael Cohen while awaiting trial.
What is noteworthy is that Maduro will be staying at the MDC in Brooklyn at the same time as Luigi Mangione, who is awaiting trial after the alleged murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Judi Garrett, former assistant director at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, told Fox News Digital that she expects Maduro to be held inside the Special Housing Unit when he arrives at the MDC in Brooklyn.
“I would expect [Maduro] it will be held inside [a Special Housing Unit] “Initially he moved to one of the “special” areas where other elites were held,” Garrett said.
Garrett said MDC Brooklyn “has extensive experience with high-profile defendants.”

In an interview on “Fox & Friends Weekend,” President Donald Trump said Maduro was “taken too far” by US special forces.
“We waited four days. We will do this, four days ago, three days ago, two days ago. And then suddenly it opened, and we said, ‘go,'” said Trump, adding that Maduro was in a “highly guarded” house.

“He was in a house that was more like a castle than a house. It had metal doors. It had what they call a safety zone, where there’s, you know, solid steel around it. He didn’t close that space. He was trying to get into it, but he was in such a hurry that he didn’t get into that,” Trump said. “We were prepared. You know, we had big flashlights and everything you need to get through that bell. But we didn’t need it. He didn’t get to that part of the house.”

Maduro was eventually captured by the Army’s Delta Force, a US official briefed on the matter told Fox News.
The source said the CIA provided intelligence to the Department of Defense that helped track down the Venezuelan dictator.
