Cissie Graham Lynch joined tens of thousands of Americans in the annual March for Life in Washington, DC, on Friday as President. Donald TrumpVice President JD Vance and the Speaker of the House Mike JohnsonR-La., addressed the crowd and the White House touted a series of recent health protection actions.
According to a White House release, Trump issued a proclamation declaring the “National Sanctity of Human Life Day” and outlined a number of policy measures by federal agencies aimed at limiting funding for abortions, strengthening conscience protections and reversing the direction of the Biden era.

“It is a sign of paganism that we treat children as nuisances to be discarded rather than blessings to be cherished,” said Vance. But the legacy of our civilization is something else – the fact that, as Scripture tells us, each life is fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator.
Johnson also spoke at the rally, telling his own story.
“I was the result of an unplanned teenage pregnancy one year before Roe in January of 1972,” Johnson said. And many people are trying to convince my very young parents that they should ‘take care of that problem.’ But I’m very grateful that they gave me a chance to live.”

Graham Lynch, daughter of Fr. Franklin Graham and senior advisor and spokesperson for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, also addressed the crowd and reflected on how attending the March for Life changed his views.
“When I first attended the March for Life years ago, God rejected my heart,” she said. “We are growing the message we heard in public education, culture and the media that Roe will never be overturned, it was the law of the land.”
He said he used to keep quiet because he was worried about women who had abortions, but he said seeing the march in person changed him.

“What I saw that day changed me—a generation that refused to accept Roe as their future, a generation that would not stop until all lives were protected,” she said.
He also thought about the overturning of Roe v. Wade, calling it the result of decades of prayer and patience, while cautioning that the work is far from done.
“It took about 50 years prayer, faithand the attempt to overthrow Roe,” said Graham Lynch. “But the war is not over. Abortions happen every day – and will continue until the moral heart of our nation changes. “
The White House said recent government actions including extending the Mexico City Policy to prevent US foreign aid from funding abortions, ending the use of fetal tissue from aborted babies in taxpayer-funded research and reviewing the eligibility of Planned Parenthood affiliates for $88 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans.

According to the White House, these actions are part of a broader effort to “restore the culture of life” and protect religious freedom.
Graham Lynch urged Americans to continue to be involved beyond attending the march.
“Don’t believe the lies that we won’t make a difference,” he said. “The battle begins where we are – in our families, in our churches and in our communities.”
