Small cocktails have been making it big in bars across the country as more Americans cut back on alcohol for health and financial reasons.

The small “tini” trend has been marked as one to watch in 2026, with places like Pastis in New York City, Vern’s in South Carolina, Fox Bar in Nashville and Jojo’s Beloved in Atlanta all offering low-key cocktails, according to restaurant booking platform Resy.

Industry insiders say the change is being driven by a combination of factors, including alcohol moderation, weight-loss goals, cost concerns and a growing desire to diversify — and quickly go global.

“The rise of ‘mini’ cocktails, or ‘snack size’, is a logical response to the market’s shift to quality and precision over volume,” Jonathan Kleeman, UK-based beverage director, told Fox News Digital.

One main driver appears to be a broader cultural movement toward moderate drinking.

But Tucci noted that not everyone is completely abstinent.

The growing popularity of GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic, which have been linked to decreased appetite and lower alcohol cravings, may also contribute to this trend. While some say the impact is difficult to measure, others see a connection.

“GLP-1s are depleting people, and drinking habits are changing,” Clinton Hall owner Aristotle “Telly” Hatzigeorgiou recently told the New York Post.

Most people agree that price is a big factor, especially as cocktail prices in the big cities continue to rise.

In a climate where the average cocktail can reach $25, the small-format drink “provides an accessible entry point,” Kleeman acknowledged.

Smaller pours may also encourage less risk-taking, with many small cocktails or tasting flights showing similar trends toward customization, such as the growing trend of dipping sauce. was previously reported by Fox News Digital.

Tucci said it’s too early to determine whether the format will increase overall spending, but he sees long-term potential.

At Tucci’s, mini cocktails are currently an “if you know, you know” thing, similar to his Ozempic menu that’s laid out on the floor — but he said he’s considering making it an official cocktail flight offering.
