PHOTOS: Inside the 2026 Grand Dîner du Louvre at Paris Fashion Week

Two years on, the breathless comparison between Le Grand Dîner du Louvre and the Met Gala still feels a bit cooked. First of all, this year’s event was not associated with a fashion show like last year’s and the look was quite simple. Still, last night’s second edition of the museum’s glittering gala—now firmly billed as the unofficial opening of Paris Fashion Week—raised 1.6 million euros and drew nearly 300 philanthropists, fashion executives, royals, screen stars and assorted world dignitaries to the Louvre.
The theme, “Le Louvre, la nuit” (The Louvre, at night), was not so much inspiring as it was atmospheric. The evening began with cocktails in the Daru Gallery under the Winged Victory of Samothrace—a rare treat for any antiquarian. Before the guests sat down to dinner prepared by Anne-Sophie Pic (the most decorated female chef in the history of Michelin), they strolled through the galleries plunged into near darkness. Representing the full moon shining over the Louvre Pyramid, the lights illuminated each of the works.
The list of sponsors includes not only heavyweights in the fashion and beauty industry such as Chanel, Cartier, Dior, LVMH, L’Oréal, Lancôme and Van Cleef & Arpels but also powerful institutions from the world of technology, including artificial intelligence firm Anthropic. At the time, the guest list reflected a diverse power grid across industries. The star of the screen Anya Taylor-Joy mixed with European elites in the form of Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Two Sicilies again Princess Maria Chiara of Bourbon-Two Sicilieswhile seasoned collectors and patrons Mouna Ayoub, Krystyna Campbell-Pretty again Lauren Amos go around to the side Prince Amyn Aga Khana long-time supporter of culture and a member of the world’s richest philanthropic lineage. Financial sovereignty was represented by Stephen Schwarzmanthe billionaire founder of Blackstone, who was there with his wife, Christine Schwarzman. A design contingent is included Christian Louboutin, Jean Paul Gaultier again Camille Miceliwith museums like Barbara Palvin, Alexa Chung, Alex Consani, Natasha Poly, Eva Herzigová again Alton Mason.
The real stars of the evening, however, were the outstanding ensembles. Sombr she arrived in a custom Valentino, while Serre wore a Spanish actress Ester Exposito in one of the most talked-about pieces of the evening—a dress made of 600 upcycled paintbrushes arranged to resemble feathers. An actor Diane Kruger she opted for a semi-sheer avant-garde design with Iris Van Herpenwho also dressed the Olympic freestyle skiing star Eileen Gu again Barbara Palvin. WNBA star Go Wilson appeared to Jacquemus, when Olandria Carthen he dressed Khaled and Marwan. Here’s what you missed:
