Something that any honest observer should be able to admit is that if Melania Trump was the first lady of the Democratic Alliance president, she would be the biggest fashion and style icon since Jackie Kennedy.
On Friday, “Melania,” a documentary about the first lady and the 20 days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration in 2025 opens in theaters across the country, putting her in the spotlight for once.
It is truly remarkable, given that Melania is literally a fashion model, that while former first wives like Jill Biden and Michelle Obama often graced the covers of glamorous magazines, Mrs.

This cold shoulder of the legacy’s fashion and social media pages, while obvious, doesn’t mean the first lady doesn’t have many loyal fans. Quite the contrary: Among Trump’s supporters, especially women, he is very popular.

At Turning Point USA’s AmFest in Phoenix last month, most of the women I spoke to, especially mothers, couldn’t help but respect Melania, both as a fashion icon and as someone who has power over the president.
One woman, wearing a custom MAGA jacket told me, “I think Melania is the only one Trump really listens to.”
The first lady’s fans are clearly the moviegoers who could be pursued by Amazon studios with an ambitious project, but no matter how many people see the film, we all know it will be treated as a flop, a failure and a joke.

In fact, the denigration of ‘Melania’ has already begun. Take for example USA Today’s headline, “Derision of Melania Trump’s documentary is an act of patriotism.”
The author of this strange and unchanging column asks, “First, there is the question of why. Why do we need this documentary? Who asked for it, besides the names of the film? And who cares?”
This elitist attitude on the left, while not surprising to writers like this who may never have met a Trump supporter, begs the question. People need or want this Melania document because these leftists blacklisted her from everything else.

The cultural institutions of our country and the Western world are still controlled by the left, and although their power over society is waning, they retain the good things and rewards that are given only to true believers.

The film is already being made as a “vanity project,” but if the entire culture industry is blocking a person, as they are with Melania, how can you reach your fans and tell your story?

I don’t know how many people will see “Melania.” I know that any amount will be ridiculed, but for the millions of Americans who love the first lady, who want to know more about her and her role in the White House, the film is a rare opportunity.

The huge problem of racism against law enforcement and research in our cultural institutions will take a long time to fix, but there are good signs. The recent shake-up in the halls of honor of places like CBS News, the Trump Kennedy Center and the Florida university system, for example, seems to upset all the right, or should I say, left, people.
Some institutions, like fashion magazines, Hollywood and late night TV, still have a ways to go to achieve fairness and balance.

Melania Trump is one of those women who put their husbands and families first, who have achieved but don’t insist on respectability, who go to church but also can’t rock seductive hats and hats when the situation calls for it.

These are the most mocked women in our society, and yet behind the scenes, they make a large part of our society work, a role that many think Melania Trump plays in the White House as well.
