Murdered Rachel Morin’s mother Patty Morin, whose daughter Rachel was killed by an illegal immigrant, said the media’s focus on President Donald Trump’s deportations ignores families like hers because highlighting the victims will demand accountability.
“When you see the victims, you have to say, ‘Somebody has to be held accountable.’ And no one wants to be held accountable for this scourge that hit our world and killed our children, our mothers, our fathers,” he said on Fox & Friends on Tuesday.

“It was probably one of the saddest things, next to my daughter’s death, that I’ve experienced – to see a small part of the tragedy of all the Americans who have been killed in the last few years.”

Morin said elected officials who reject immigration enforcement are “missing the humanity of it all” in favor of politics.
“They see American citizens as just wounded people. And because they’re so personally and emotionally invested, they don’t move. It’s like they don’t have empathy.”
