Jennifer Garland, Prestige Notaries CEO, expands her impact by investing in others

Across the United States, thousands of lawyers, banks, corporations, and title workers rely on field work they rarely see up close. Most of the work is done by Prestige Inc., a company whose President and CEO Jennifer Garland founded in 2015.
Today, the honor includes more than 257,000 agents in the field across the country and they have helped support more than $500 million for victims who have been attacked by them in less than three years. The company works with major firms such as White and Case, Morgan and Morgan, and Vedder Price, as well as more than 3,500 companies and Escrow companies.
Garland is also responsible for Notarydash, a software platform designed to help notaries and notary companies keep their work organized. Together, these two organizations live within the field where precision and time are everything, bearing the great responsibility of keeping the legal profession from falling behind.
Learn the legal system from the inside
Before he founded any company, Garaland worked as eflorgen general in the Washington State Attorney’s office. Within the complex litigation unit, his work focused on consumer protection issues, including the $25 billion State Commor and Counder’s Revenueard Revenues settlement.

He explained: “If they didn’t show up, they didn’t get paid,” he explained. “My mother has a servant’s heart and was always compassionate, while my father was incredibly predatory and believed in giving back.”
Two attorneys who have worked at the beginning of his legal career, Sara and Todd, also left a lasting impression.
“Sara was full of life and deeply laid back, and Todd was professional, kind, and quiet,” she said. “They both saw potential in me before I saw it in myself and always encouraged me to grow.”
Ten years ago, a counselor named Lisa played a game-changing role in his life. Garland speaks highly of it, describing Lisa as generous with her time, her heart, and her intelligence.
“I love him and I’m very grateful for the role he continues to play in my life and career,” she said.
Garland draws on trusted mentors, lead with integrity, and bring real-world experience to learn from. People who are willing to give the truth, even if it is hard to tell, are the ones who know the most.
He stays close to his advisers by calling or sending them and going on lunches or trips, considering them as friends as well as loyal ones. Teaching feels like a two-way street in his life, something built on mutual understanding rather than collective advice.
Paying it forward
Today, Jennifer Garland is a writer herself, and it is still one of the most meaningful parts of her work. He has worked with over a thousand small business owners, many of whom are mobile, field agents, or service providers navigating the same challenges they have faced.
“Whoever calls me, I answer,” he said. “Whether it is an ongoing calling of the hour or an ongoing relationship, I speak to all the conversation with the intention of pouring out to others in the way that others have poured out, I am inspired, and I help to help people to find clarification, guidance,”
Directing is not something that he tries to introduce into the waters of his program. It sounds like it’s called, one hopes to stay dependent on him for years to come.
As his career has evolved, his understanding of what people really need from a counselor has evolved. While he used to jump in with advice when someone asked for guidance, it eventually taught him that quick answers aren’t what most people want. What they want first is a person who listens.
Over time, he went on to offer solutions to ask better questions, creating space for people to think about their decisions. Now, he adapts his leadership to the person in front of him, taking their goals and stage of growth into consideration. What once felt like a one-on-one understanding exchange has become a collaborative process, with a goal focused on long-term impact.
Continuing to lead the herd
Of all the advice the director has received, the most transformative advice was to stop thinking like an employee and start thinking like an owner.
“It changed how I approached everything,” she said. “My time, my decisions, my risks and my responsibilities. It taught me to take responsibility, to solve problems instead of waiting for someone else to prepare me a small meal and start building businesses for a long time.”
His favorite part of representation is being able to give others the insight they once needed. Supporting new business owners as they avoid common mistakes, build trust, and lay a strong foundation from the start brings a sense of deep fulfillment.
Counseling has humbled him to come back. His compassion was true, his leadership was refined, and he reminded him that it was the machinery behind his work. The experience ends up behind him, prompting him to lead by example, and continue to help him grow personally and professionally. Apart from fame, Jennifer Garland enjoys genealogy, traveling, and collecting elephants, guided by her cattle by her very intelligent wife.
The metaphor feels appropriate. In his work, Gagland strives to lead with purpose, support, clarity, and strength to those who trust him. He hopes that the businesses he has built and the people he has educated will continue to grow with the same sense of self-confidence and in a way that guides his path.
