Jennifer Gray is happy with the girls’ getaway.
The “Dirty Dancing” star shared a series of photos from the trip on Instagram, opening with a photo of herself lounging on a towel on the beach. Gray wore a black bikini and sunglasses as she relaxed on the sand with the sea behind her.
Somewhere along the beach, Gray walked along the shore as the waves crashed at his feet. She chose a simple black one-piece swimsuit. Layered necklaces featuring a gemstone pendant and medallion added subtle details to the understated look. The open ocean and rugged coastline spread out behind him as he passed through the water, giving the beach time a simple, spare feel.

The “Dancing with the Stars” winner posted a selfie outside. The sun highlighted the red in her hair and peeked out of the corner of the picture. She smiled softly at the camera while wearing a sleeveless top and a patterned scarf tied loosely around her neck, sunlight catching her hair as the wind blew.

Another photo shifted the focus to friendship, showing Gray standing next to longtime friend Tracy Pollan. The pair got close for a selfie, sharing a beach day with her fans.
The 65-year-old actress captioned the post, “Girls trip overdue @tracy.pollan 🤍 giggling like we’re back in high school,” reflecting on their decades-long bond.

In 2023, Gray marked Pollan’s birthday with a heartfelt gift on Instagram, calling him a lifelong constant.

“Happy birthday to my sister-lifelong friend @tracy.pollan. There’s nothing like having someone you can always count on, from 14 on up, through so many chapters, through so much life. I ❤️ u #tracypollan #oldfriendsarethebestfriends,” Gray wrote at the time.
The two actresses first met as teenagers while attending the Dalton School in New York City, where their friendship began years before Pollan married Michael J. Fox. Over the years, Gray and Pollan have remained close, often supporting each other on important personal and professional milestones.

Gray gained international fame for her role as Frances “Baby” Houseman in 1987’s “Dirty Dancing,” a performance that cemented her place in pop culture.

On the 27th of Jan. 2026, Gray announced that he would return in a newly developed sequel, reprising his character decades after the release of the first film. The actress will also serve as an executive producer for the project.

“Baby’s role holds a deep and meaningful place in my heart, as it has in the hearts of many fans over the years,” Gray said in a statement. “I’ve long wondered where we’d find Baby years later and what his life would be like, but it took time to assemble the kind of people I felt I could entrust to build the legacy of the first film … and I’m happy to say it looks like the wait will soon be over.”

The next sequel will continue the “Dirty Dancing” story for a new generation, with Gray helping to direct the project alongside a new creative team.
