Google Ads adds a shortcut button to change history

Tired of spending time researching Google Ads change history, jumping between reports, campaigns, and ad groups? The new “Go to…” button eliminates that extra click. It’s a small user interface change that saves time during auditing and troubleshooting.
What’s new. Google added a “Go to…” dropdown in the change history report. You can jump directly from the entered change to the appropriate campaign or ad group. This is especially useful when reviewing batch edits, script-driven changes, or updates made in Google Ads Editor.

How does this work:
- Select one or more changes in the change history report.
- Use the “Go to…” dropdown to navigate directly to the affected entity.
- No more manually searching through the account structure to find out what has changed.
What they say. The update was first flagged by PPC expert Arpan Banerjee on LinkedIn.
- Hana Kobzová, the founder of PPC News Feed, said that this feature “removes extra steps from troubleshooting and speeds up navigation, especially when reviewing bulk edits or changes made through scripts or Google Ads Editor.”

Why do we care. This update takes the hassle out of one of the most time-consuming parts of account management: figuring out what has changed and where. The new “Go to…” button allows you to jump directly from the change log to the affected campaign or ad group. That saves time during testing, troubleshooting, and multiple editing reviews. For teams that manage large accounts or rely on text and Google Ads Editor, those saved clicks add up quickly.
Bottom line. It’s not fast, but for marketers who live in conversion history, this shortcut can be a real time saver.
