Former Prince Andrew leaves the Royal Lodge in Windsor as “three” letters emerge from the Epstein files.

London – Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the younger brother of King Charles II formerly known as Prince Andrew, has moved out of his home filled with Royal Lodge in Windsor as more details emerge about his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Mountbatten-Windsor’s move to Sandringham, King Charles’s largest private estate in Norfolk, eastern England, was announced by Buckingham Palace in October and was expected in early 2026.
No official announcement has been made by the royal family about the move, but CBS News understands that, as of Wednesday morning, Mountbatten-Windsor was staying at Sandringham.
The quiet move came days after the US Department of Justice was released 3 million other documents and photos related to Epstein, several of which reveal intimate connections between the former kingpin and the disgraced funder of child abuse.

Documents published by the US government include a 2011 letter from a lawyer who said at the time that Prince Andrew and Epstein asked an unidentified “foreign dancer” to “engage in various sexual acts” during a party with “other young women who were dressed in a provocative manner,” some of whom “appeared to be as young as 14 years old.”
“Mr Epstein and Prince Andrew then told my client that they wanted to have three,” the woman’s lawyer – who died in 2020 – wrote in a letter.
“After the men were satisfied,” the letter continued, “they invited my client to take a trip with them to the Virgin Islands. She declined their invitation. She was then driven back to the strip mall.
The lawyer continues that the woman was not paid what she was promised, and that she later agreed to keep her “dealings” with Epstein and Mountbatten-Windsor secret in order to return $250,000.
The files also include an alleged exchange in 2010 between Mountbatten-Windsor and Epstein when the royal invited Epstein to dinner at Buckingham Palace. In his response, Epstein reveals that he has several women, whose names have been redacted, and promises to “bring them all. To add life.”
“Yes, there’s plenty of room here for discussion,” Mountbatten-Windsor replied with an obvious exchange. “Bring them.”
In one email last month, Mountbatten-Windsor is said to have written to Epstein: “God it’s cold and cold in here! I wish I was still your family pet!”

There was also pictures released by the Department of Justice, including a photo in which Mountbatten-Windsor can be seen with all four paws on top of a woman, whose face is not visible, lying on the ground. In another, he is shown touching a woman’s waist, looking down, and in a third his hand is seen on her stomach.
The identity of the woman, the place and the date on which the photo was found are unknown, but the disclosure of these stories has put pressure on the king’s brother to explain himself.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor under pressure to testify
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Saturday that Mountbatten-Windsor should cooperate with investigators.
“In terms of evidence, I’ve always said that anyone who has information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they’re asked to do so, because you can’t focus on clearing yourself if you’re not willing to do that,” Starmer said.
Speaking to CBS News affiliate BBC News on Wednesday, Epstein survivor Lisa Phillips said that Andrew testifying, “could be anything.”
Mountbatten-Windsor has not responded to a request by members of the US House Oversight Committee for a “written interview” about her “longtime friendship” with Epstein.
CBS News has contacted Mountbatten-Windsor representatives for comment. He has yet to respond, and in the past has denied any wrongdoing.
King Charles stripped his brother of his royal titles last year, after intense scrutiny over his friendship with Epstein and allegations made by. Virginia Giuffre that she was trafficked for sex with Mountbatten-Windsor when she was young.
Mountbatten-Windsor denied those allegations, but reached a staying with Giuffre in 2022paying him around $16 million, according to British media reports. Giuffre died by suicide last year.
Having sex in the royal household?
On Tuesday, Thames Valley Police, which covers several counties in southern England, said they were investigating allegations reported by the BBC that Epstein had sent a second woman to the UK to sleep with Mountbatten-Windsor.
The alleged encounter took place at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, Andrew’s former home, in 2010, according to the BBC.
“We are talking about at least one woman” besides Giuffre, “who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein to Prince Andrew,” said the second unidentified woman’s lawyer, Brad Edwards, told a British broadcaster.
The woman, who was 20 at the time, was given tea and a tour of Buckingham Palace after spending the night at the Royal Lodge, according to Edwards. According to the BBC report, this is the first time that the Epstein survivor has said that he had sex in the royal household.
Mountbatten-Windsor moved to Sandringham – a 31 square mile area with a number of detached houses – on Monday night, but is expected to visit Windsor again in the coming weeks as she finalizes her move.

The former prince was last seen in Windsor on Monday, riding a horse near his former home.
Confirming the decision last October to remove his royal titles and end his lease of the Royal Lodge in Windsor, Buckingham Palace said in a statement that these steps were “considered necessary, despite the fact that. [Mountbatten-Windsor] he continues to deny the allegations against him.”
The palace statement added that King Charles and Queen Camilla “wish to make it clear that their thoughts and deepest sympathies have been, and will remain, with victims and survivors of any form of abuse.”
