Easy Homemade Easter Candy Recipe (Easter Basket Idea!)

This homemade Easter candy is an easy and delicious way to make a fun treat to add to Easter baskets this year. It only takes a few ingredients, comes together quickly, and makes a festive Easter bark that kids and adults alike will love!

We usually make this candy to give as a delicious and affordable food gift during the Christmas season, but I never thought of a brilliant idea to make it for Easter baskets!

This delicious recipe is a spin-off of Crystal’s wonderful Christmas candy recipe – and if you’re a white chocolate lover like me, you might end up liking this one better than the original! 😉

(Not a fan of white chocolate? Just use milk or dark chocolate chips instead, but don’t forget to add some colorful festive sprinkles!)

Ingredients for Homemade Easter Candy

This recipe is super easy and uses only a few ingredients! It’s hard to believe that this recipe can be so delicious with these few ingredients, but it is indeed is something.

  • 1 sleeve of salt crackers
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • Pastel sprinkles

How to Make White Chocolate Easter Bark Candy

1 Preheat the oven to 350ºF.

2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and spread the Saltine crackers over the foil.

Crackers are placed in a foil-lined pan for making Easter candy.

3. In a small pan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, until gooey.

4. Pour this gooey mixture over the crackers and bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until bubbling.

5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with white chocolate chips.

6. Let sit for a few minutes until the white chocolate chips start to melt. Then, use a rubber spatula to spread the melted chocolate over the crackers.

7. Decorate quickly with sprinkles.

8. Stick in the fridge for an hour, or until the chocolate hardens.

9. Break into small pieces and put in gift containers or bags.

There’s just something about the combination of crackers, chewy caramel, and chocolate! YUM!

I brought a bowl of this to a recent family gathering, and the kids didn’t absolutely love it, but the adults had fun with it, too!

This is a very simple dessert that you can use perfectly on Easter Sunday, if you want something a little different than usual. Just make a big batch ahead of time and you’re good to go.

This Easter Bark Candy Recipe Is Freezer-Friendly, Too!

It’s SO EASY to make ahead of time because it keeps well in the fridge. I recommend making a batch and dividing it into individual bags to freeze later.

Then just pop the baggie out when you’re ready to use it for a get together or Easter basket!

I love the fun colors of the sprinkles – and this recipe is perfect for almost any spring party or gathering! You can also use them as economical end-of-year teacher gifts.
