Kevin O’Leary warns Canada on China relations as Trump threatens 100% tariffs.

O’Leary Ventures Chairman Kevin O’Leary joins ‘Claman Countdown’ to examine President Donald Trump’s tariff threat to Canada over a potential deal with China and stars in ‘Marty Supreme.’
“Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary issued a stark warning to Canada about its potential trade deal with China, arguing that the communist country has “driven all its business partners crazy” during an interview Monday on “The Claman Countdown.”
“Canada will be no different,” he said. “China is not your friend.”
O’Leary’s comments come as President Donald Trump has threatened to impose 100% tariffs on Canadian imports as a result of his new trade deal with China.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Sunday that his country has no intention of pursuing a free trade deal with China and that the latest deal reduces tariffs on some taxed sectors.
Trump wrote on social media that Carney is “very wrong” if he believes that Canada can be used as an entry point for Chinese goods in the United States.

In another post, the president warned that China would “eat Canada alive.”
O’Leary echoed Trump’s warnings, asserting that the communist nation has no good intentions in any potential trade deal with America’s northern neighbor.
“China is an economic and military and AI enemy of both Canada and the United States,” he told FOX Business.

“You can have all the politics you want, but the enemy is China,” he added.
Trump’s 100% tariff threat will have significant consequences as Canadian and US trade are deeply intertwined, FOX Business host Liz Claman and O’Leary noted.

TRUMP INTERVIEWS CARNEY AT DAVOS, ASSERTS CANADA SHOULD BE ‘GRATEFUL’ FOR PROTECTING GOLDEN DOME EVENTS
“Carney has something that Trump needs, and of course, Trump has something that Carney needs,” O’Leary explained. “70% of all Canadian products go to 26 provinces. They are Canada’s largest trading partner, and of those provinces, Canada is the largest trading partner.”
“We love each other that way financially,” he added.
The Canadian businessman also pointed to Trump’s proposed “Golden Dome” missile defense system as an important indicator of the administration’s and Canada’s priorities.

“[Greenland] that will be the arrow on the west side. The Eastern side would be, of course, Alaska. The hole in the middle is Canada,” O’Leary noted.
“[Trump] an agreement will have to be made to get that dome,” he said.

O’Leary predicted that Trump and Carney would eventually reach an agreement.
“They are kissing cousins soon,” he asserted.
