ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons said Tuesday that immigration agencies are facing “constant obstacles” and “relentless attacks” after video showed a suspected illegal immigrant in San Antonio crashing cars in an attempt to escape.
This video shows the migrant in a car ramming into the cars that were blocking them in front and behind, while the person was trying to escape from arrest.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity,” Lyons was asked if propaganda from Democrats criticizing ICE could be linked to incidents like these.

“When we hear elected officials asking people to block or block ICE enforcement across the country, you’re going to see incidents like this,” Lyons responded. “He saw police and agents trying to arrest an illegal alien, and that’s when they used their car as a weapon.”
Lyons said one of the officers went to the hospital with a neck injury after their car was hit in the incident.
“Every day, this is what the men and women of ICE deal with,” she said. “It’s constant obstacles, constant attacks like this. And it’s not safe for our people, it’s not safe for the community. It really has to stop.”
He also pointed out that “criminal gangs” organize groups to prevent or obstruct the enforcement of immigration laws.

“It is a constitutional right to go out and protest. But when you organize gangs, that is, they organize these groups to, again, obstruct or hinder the operation of the law … that is a criminal act. I will tell you that the Homeland Security investigation, my friends, the FBI, we are investigating this and people can arrest the law and participate. It is a criminal act, and we must act quickly so that this does not spread,” he said.
Lyons was also asked about recent comments from Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, who vowed to prosecute any ICE agent who commits illegal acts while working in the city while insisting that his threat does not apply to “honest, honorable, well-behaved” agents.
“The men and women of ICE, the men and women of HSI, are not committing any crimes,” Lyons said. “Therefore, he does not have to worry about arresting any of our people because what we are doing is enforcing the law. We go out every day to make this nation and his home safe again. Therefore, he does not have to worry about the men and women of ICE. What he has to worry about is the sanctions policy that allows these criminals to return to their homes and commit heinous crimes, torturing people. And let the law enforcement do the work of enforcing the law.”

This comes after a recent incident in Minnesota, where Renee Nicole Good, a US citizen, was shot and killed by masked icebreaker Jonathan Ross, who shot through the driver’s side window of a car and shouted “f–king b—h” as the car hit another parked car.
Democrats and local residents condemned the shooting as a homicide and called for Ross to be prosecuted, while the Trump administration and Republican lawmakers defended the incident as a justified shooting.
