Columbus police are looking for a person of interest in the Tepe double homicide

Officials have released shocking photos of a ‘person of interest’ in the unsolved murders of an Ohio dentist and his wife, who were shot in their home.
Fox News Digital previously reported that a the search continues the perpetrator, the police are asking for video from any neighbors and people who may have been in the area.
This new photo, released Monday by the Columbus Police Department on Instagram, shows a person walking slowly in a snowy cave near the Weinland Park home of Spencer Tepe, 37, and his wife, Monique Tepe, 39.
The person is seen wearing what looks like light colored pants and a black hooded jacket.

Their heads are bowed and their hands are in their pockets as they walk in the morning.
Detectives believe the couple were killed between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Dec. 30, upstairs of their house on North 4th Street.
Police say surveillance video places a person of interest in a cave near Tepe’s home during that critical moment.
“Detectives believe that the murders of Mr. and Mrs. Tepe took place between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m. on December 30 in their upstairs apartment,” police said in an online statement.
“Video footage obtained shows a person of interest walking in the vicinity of Tepe’s house at the time.

“We have received and continue to receive many tips from the public, our detectives are following them,” said the police.
Spencer and Monique Tepe were found dead after a co-worker panicked when Spencer failed to show up for work at the Athens Dental Depot and did not answer calls.
The police did a health check but left after no one answered the door.
The police returned later when their co-workers and a friend reported hearing the children inside the home and seeing Spencer’s body next to the bed.
The friend called 911 at 9:57 a.m., telling the dispatcher she “thinks she heard one of them. [the kids] I’m screaming,” according to a call report obtained by Fox News Digital.

The couple’s two young children – a 1-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl – were found unharmed, along with the family dog. Children are kept by relatives.
Police say Spencer suffered multiple gunshot wounds, while Monique was shot at least once in the chest.
No weapon was found at the scene, and authorities ruled out murder. There were also no signs of forced entry.
The Franklin County Coroner’s office confirmed Monday to Fox News Digital that both bodies were the result of “apparent gunshot wounds.”

The Tepe family, who have been married for five years, are remembered by the family as devoted parents who built a life “centered on love.”
A GoFundMe created to support their children has raised more than $146,000 as the investigation continues.
