Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., called out President Donald Trump during the State of the Union, calling him a “liar” and a “murderer” after the commander-in-chief talked about fraud related to Somalia in Minnesota.
Omar was sitting next to Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who wore a dirty pin on her shirt criticizing ICE, and the two insulted the president during his speech.
“As we speak, the Democrats in this room have cut all the funding for the Department of Homeland Security. Everything is cut; it’s cut,” Trump began.
“They created another Democratic shutdown, the first one cost us two points in GDP, two points we lost in GDP, which probably made them really happy. Now they have shut down the agency responsible for protecting the American people from terrorists and murderers.”

At that moment, a commotion was heard and the camera quickly panned to an angry Omar.
“Tonight, I’m calling for the full and immediate restoration of all funding for border protection, Homeland Security of the United States, and to help people clean up their ice.”
“We have no money because of the Democrats, and it would be great. We would like to give you a hand to clean it up, but you didn’t give the money. Nobody gets paid. It’s a shame.”
Trump then invited everyone in the audience — lawmakers and voters — to stand or join him in agreement with the same axiom:
“The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”

Minutes later, Trump again raised Omar’s ire after referring to his mass deportation plan.
“Isn’t that a shame? You should be ashamed of yourself and don’t stand up. You should be ashamed of yourself. That’s why I’m also asking you to eliminate dangerous cities that shelter criminals and issue severe penalties to public officials who prevent the removal of unknown criminals,” said Trump.
“Many times, drug dealers, they don’t kill all over our country; they prevent the extradition of these people from our country. And you should be ashamed of yourself.”

Omar repeatedly shouted, “He killed the American people” when Trump spoke about the Department of Homeland Security, he was heard to say, “he is a murderer”.
At one point during the exchange of fire, Tlaib shouted “Alex was not a criminal,” apparently referring to Alex Pretti – the gunman shot and killed by federal agents during the Minneapolis riot.

“You’re a liar,” Omar shouted at one point, while sources in the gallery weren’t sure whether he called the president a “sycophant,” or an abusive monitor.
Later in the evening, Omar and Tlaib left the room early as Trump recounted the raid in Caracas that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro.
